Thank you for registering your child for the Lakeland Youth Center tennis camp, organized by Staley Tennis Academy. Our first session will be Tuesday, July 9th, 2019. All sessions will take place at the Wawasee High School tennis courts.
The summer camp schedule is as follows:
Kindergarten through 2nd grade

- Thursday, July 11, 2019 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM
- Tuesday, July 16, 2019 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM

- Thursday, July 18, 2019 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM
3rd through 5th grade
- Tuesday, July 9, 2019 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM
- Wednesday, July 10, 2019 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM
- Thursday, July 11, 2019 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM
- Tuesday, July 16, 2019 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM
- Wednesday, July 17, 2019 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM
- Thursday, July 18, 2019 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM
If any of the above dates are rained out, you will be notified via text and the session will be rescheduled for Saturday and/or Sunday (at the same time). If there is severe weather during one of our sessions, we will pull everyone off the courts, under shelter. If you pick up your child during severe weather and there is no one on the courts, we will be located in the high school annex gym located within door #8.
We will be focusing this camp on the development of youth tennis players. Much of the focus will be on drills and exercises that will increase your child’s agility, balance, coordination, tracking (sending and receiving) skills and rallying performance. Most camp attendees will be in the beginning phases of playing tennis and will be taught accordingly. We will be utilizing both red transition balls with mini-nets and 36′ courts as well as standard yellow balls with full-sized courts throughout the camp.
Please make sure your child has the following items for each session:
- Racquet
- Tennis shoes
- Appropriate Clothing
- Water
