As were are on the edge of summer, UTR has announced our academy is now a verified professional UTR club. We we will be offering our academy players verified UTR events to compete in. And all of our inter-academy leagues and competitions now count towards players’ UTRs.
You may have heard about UTR, or Universal Tennis Rating, the world’s premier global rating that is taking the tennis world by storm. UTR is the new standard in college recruiting, and makes it easy for you to know your tennis skill, find play at your level, track your progress and much more.

UTR is the universal standard for all tennis players. It’s based purely on tennis results, and is age & gender blind. Think of it like a golf handicap—but for tennis!

How To Join Our UTR Club
- Join UTR. It’s free! Already have a UTR account? Simply login.
- Self rate or claim your profile. If you’ve never played in a sanctioned USTA or UTR league or tournament, you’ll need to create a profile and self-rate yourself to get started. If you’ve played in a league or tournament, then more than likely your profile exists and you can simply claim it.
- Visit our club page and click the ‘Request To Join’ button.
Membership Types
When you join Staley Tennis UTR Club, there are two types of memberships you will be assigned to:
- Physical Member—This is someone who trains at our academy and takes part in our club leagues and tournaments. Some of our UTR tournaments and leagues will be closed, meaning only available to those who train at our academy and who are members of our UTR club.
- Digital Member—This is someone who doesn’t train at our academy but takes part in our local open UTR competitions. We will offer certain tournaments and leagues only available to take part in if you’re our club member.
