We always want to highlight special achievements by our academy players. We have two players that have achieved amazing things as of late.
Holden Babb is headed for his second year at our academy in 2020 and has worked throughout the offseason, taking part in a number of USTA tournaments. With several main draw wins, Holden’s UTR has increased more than .75 in just a few months. He has just entered his first USTA tournament as a seeded player this weekend in Niles, MI. In January 2020, he cracked the top 50 junior boys in the Northern Indiana 16U division.

Joseph Harper is headed for his third year at our academy, and is in the first year of being personally coached by Shane Staley. Joey just graduated from the boys 12U division, posting as the #10 overall USTA boys junior in Northern Indiana in 2019. In the last calendar year his UTR increased by 1.04. In a comparison of local players involved in the same USTA divisions and tournaments, Joey ranked 4th overall in UTR growth amongst competitors and 1st in Northern Indiana for his age division. He went 20-10 in sanctioned matches over the final year in the 12U division.
Congratulations to both players on these remarkable achievements and consistent growth. Hard work pays off!
