Today is the official opening day of Staley Tennis Academy. We’ll be offering public and private programs to develop junior tennis players all summer long. The academy will operate June 1-July 31 each year and there will be a return fall session from October 1-31 where we will resume programming.
We do not charge recurring memberships fees. Our focus is on training junior players (ages 11-18). If a junior player wants to be part of the academy, here’s how:
- Schedule an Academy Player Evaluation + Video. We will sometimes offer free evaluations to age groups which we need to fill. Otherwise, there is a paid evaluation available. For the first week of the academy we have posted 3 free evaluations for every age group.
- Parents will receive a link to your junior’s video along with an evaluation (initial skills assessment). This will include final evaluation in one of three levels: Academy Player, Academy Trainee, or Non-Academy (Public). If your junior qualifies as academy player or trainee, you will be offered different training packages for each level qualified. These packages are optional. Non-academy students will receive information on public programs we offer related to the age group of the junior.
Training packages available:
Level 2: Trainee ($150)—Weekly summer private lessons to grow player’s skillsets. 50% discounts on all programs offered through the academy. We limit annual acceptance of 16 total trainees (4 in each age group: 12U, 14U, 16U 18U).
Level 3: Player ($500)—Weekly summer and fall private lessons. All programs offered in the summer and fall are free to attend. Also included are supervised hitting sessions, simulated match play, match evaluations, conditioning plans, and a detailed weekly practice planner for each individual. We limit annual acceptance of 16 total players (4 in each age group: 12U, 14U, 16U 18U).
