Ending the year with 154 points, Kiah Farrington was crowned champion of the first annual Challenger Series which featured 16 junior players and mentors playing weekly singles matches. The series was a twist on the classic tennis ladder system with players advancing in skill rungs and additionally earning points for each game and match they won.
Staley Tennis is now registering for the 2019 series which runs June 2-July 28.
Academy players and mentors will be issued 1 challenge each Sunday night which must be completed by the following Sunday. Challenges consist of 8-game pro sets versus another player. Additional bonus challenges can be submitted weekly by each player.
