Double Trouble 3, Nets Assets 0
At #1 singles, it took Jack Gibbons (Double Trouble) more than an hour and a half to finish off Clayton Firestone of Net Assets which involved a number of tiebreakers. First set Clayton Firestone won the 3-all tiebreaker 3-5 to take a 1-0 lead. The second set, Gibbons prevailed in a 3-all tiebreaker 5-1 to even the score. Then Gibbons dominated the final set tiebreaker 5-0.
Double Trouble’s #2 singles Holden Babb took no time at all in claiming their second victory by the score of 4-1, 4-0 over Joey Harper.
In doubles action, Holden Babb and Jack Gibbons edged Clayton Firestone and Taylor Fiedeke in a final set 5-1 tiebreaker.
Poachers 0, Topspinners 3
Topspinners remained undefeated after play Saturday yielded a 3-0 sweep over the Poachers.
Joe Bowsher (Topspinners) topped Kiah Farrington (Poachers) 4-1, 4-1 at #1 singles. Nathan Harper (Topspinners #2 singles) beat Rylee Firestone 4-0, 4-1. In the teams’ doubles match up, Topspinners’ Joe Bowsher and Nathan Harper beat the Poachers’ Kiah Farrington and Kelsey Harper 4-0, 4-1.
