Private lessons are 1-on-1 court time and instruction (1-hr. sessions) with Coach Staley, a USPTA Professional, focused on the individual skill needs of the player. In tennis, it’s all about repetitions and in most 1-hr. sessions individuals will hit more balls than in a week of team practices.
Private lessons are one of the best ways to learn the sport and for improving skills to a higher competitive level.
PLAYER EVALUATION & VIDEO
Purchase a player evaluation and you’ll get a one-hour session that includes delivery of a printed skills evaluation along with notes on improving your game, a video (approximately 10-15 mins) of your time on court, and a 9-point serve checkpoint report.
Our academy uses a Soloshot Robot Camera and GoPro to film video of each player. From the clips captured, we create a video presentation featuring 6 different areas of their game.
Documented areas in the evaluation and video include: Serve, Forehand, Backhand, Rally/Movement, Volley, and Return of Serve.
The video makes for a nice keepsakes for parents who want a formal, documented presentation of their child playing junior tennis. This package also serves to rate junior players for academy programs and to form a roadmap of their development in the sport.
Group Lessons (Semi-Private)
Group lessons are one hour sessions with up to 6 players. Generalized age- and skill-appropriate drills and games will be planned for each session, aimed at having fun as a group as well as improving skill levels.
These 1-hour sessions are overseen by the coach with instruction. Notes/results posted. Options are:
- Private Session with ball machine
- Pressure Match Session (w/ partner)
- Live Hitting Session (w/ partner)
- Simulated Match Play (w/ partner)
