
Holden Babb (Syracuse, IN) and Dylan Neese (Warsaw, IN) took home the final Duals awards of the year. Each were tops in their duals groups during the Staley Tennis Open Dual #3 event held at Wawasee High School on Saturday, October 24, 2020.
In the top UTR grouping, Babb beat Joseph Harper 6-1, 6-0 to advance to the duals finals against Gabriella Umbower (Goshen) who best Tyler Scott (Goshen) 6-2, 6-3 in the first round. Babb finished securing the top spot by defeating Gabriella in straight sets 6-0, 6-1.
In the second grouping, Dylan Neese, in his first sanctioned UTR event, defeated Jacob Murphy (Goshen) 6-1, 6-0 to meet up with Lincoln Fisher (Goshen) in the group finals. Fisher defeated William Long (Cromwell, IN) 6-3, 6-1 in the opening round. Neese turned it on in the finals, beating Fisher 6-0, 6-0 to take home the Duals award.


During the duals event, each player took part in the single elimination tie break tens tournament. Each match was a simple 10-pt tiebreak in the single elimination bracket. Joseph Harper edged out Holden Babb in the finals to claim the tournament win.
